2011 Philoptochos Fall Spiritual Conference

The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco Ladies Philoptochos Society is pleased to announce their 2011 Fall Spiritual Conference from Friday, September 30 – Sunday, October 2 at Saint Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center in Dunlap, California. The conference will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, and will conclude following Divine Liturgy and Lunch on Sunday.

This conference is open to all members of Philoptochos and is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other women who share the same commitment to this important ministry, as well as to inspire members to reach out to others and encourage them to be involved in the rich history of this organization.

This year’s Keynote Speaker will be Presvytera Pat Tsagalakis from Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church in Shoreline, Washington. Presvytera Pat is a dynamic speaker who will focus her presentation on the following topic:

“Balance: the Art of Giving and Receiving”
Reflections on Saints Mary and Martha
Challenging Orthodox Christian Women to Find Balance in Their Lives

Also attending this year’s conference will be Paulette Geanacopoulos, National Philoptochos Social Services Director, who will be addressing the role of social services in philanthropy at the National, Metropolis and Chapter levels.
