Metropolitan Gerasimos attends event honoring George and Julia Argyros

LA QUINTA, CA – His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos recently attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Eisenhower George and Julia Argyros Health Center to be built in La Quinta, California.  Metropolitan Gerasimos was invited to attend this event and offer the invocation which was held on January 18, 2008.

The Argyros’ contributed $20 million for this $40 million project, which is slated to be the largest and most comprehensive hospital in Eisenhower’s 36-year history.   This facility will include urgent care, imaging, a radiation oncology center, and an on-site laboratory and pharmacy.

The Argyros’ have been faithful members of the Greek Orthodox community for many years.  They are members of Leadership 100 and George has also been bestowed the title of Archon Notarios of the Order of St. Andrew of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
